Active Meditation for Kids: Creating Your Own Mandala, by Melissa Leath

Shaheen: Here is another beautiful article by Melissa Leath for the Kids Growing Up Psychic Series. This is really fun, and has my imagination running in so many directions!

Psychic and empathic children can handle their gifts better if they know about meditation. But it does not always mean sitting still with eyes closed.

Meditation comes in many different modes. This time we will talk about Active Meditations. Anything that helps you stay focused and calm while doing something meaningful is Active Meditation. Making a Mandala is a perfect way to do that!

Mandalas have been used throughout time as a meditation tool. It is a piece of art that your child can create on a poster board, within a drawn circle.

Mandala means “circle” or “center”. The sacred circle can be seen everywhere in nature: galaxies, planets, flowers, etc. The energy of these powerful patterns is poured into Mandalas. They symbolize an aspect of nature and spirit. This energy can be used to help in the healing process, or transformation through meditation.

Making and meditating with mandalas can:

  • merge body, spirit and mind
  • uncover your own creativity
  • assist you in everyday life, making stress easier
  • calm the mind and body
  • be a healing tool for the soul

It is what I like to call an “active” meditation. By focusing on a special activity, you are constantly re-directing your attention on what you wish to do. By creating the mandala, your child will be spending time very focused in their project (the whole idea of meditation is centered on focus). It is made just for the child, with everything they enjoy looking at and feeling. All the pieces chosen will blend in the circle of the mandala in a way that means something to them. By taking symbols, colors and geometric forms of interest your child can create an instrument of transformation.

A few items you will need: old magazines or colorful ads and newspapers, construction paper and tissue paper in a variety of colors, poster board (20’’x20’’ is a great size), colorful fabrics and paints, copies of favorite photos, charms, flower petals, stick-on cutouts, safety scissors, glue sticks and double sided tape.

Make this into several projects.

You can make several focused projects out of Creating the Mandala. Take your time; (1) look around in nature; (2) scour yard sales, until you find the right things needed for the mandala, (3) spend time organizing the project in a special place.

Step One:

Decide what size you would like for the mandala. Prepare the poster board with a thin, light circle in the center of the board.

Step Two:

Choose a special picture or symbol for the center (focus) of the circle. It should be something that makes you smile: the sun, stars, something that connects you to the Creator or Divine Source. Tape or glue it to the center of the circle.

Your child will be attracted to special colors and geometric forms. When making a mandala, I prefer the circle to a square and will use it in different areas in my life. Also, I radiate towards purples, magentas and deep greens, instead of orange or red. We can be influenced by different colors and also use them in crafting a certain outcome.

Step Three:

After helping your child draw a large circle within the squared-off poster board, take pieces of colorful fabrics, papers or paints and create a backdrop on your board. This creates a foundation of the things you feel comfortable with or wish in your energy.

Blend them together, overlapping, if you wish, to mix them all together. Arrange them in a pleasing order. Add the different geometric forms to the poster, such as circles, triangles, paisley patterns, etc.

Your continued work with the project from the time you decide your symbols, colors and geometric forms, until you have finished, you will be imbuing it with your energy and start changing the frequency of your intentions.

After finishing your mandala you can use it to focus your thoughts on something you want in your life, such as love, peace, or joy. Or it could be used to heal something in your life.

How do you meditate with the mandala?

Here is how I’ve learned to do it:

  1. Place your mandala in front of you and relax.
  2. Focus on the center of the Mandala. Softly stare directly into it, blinking as little as possible.
  3. Breathe slowly in and out. After a little while you will notice a shift. The colors of the Mandala will become brighter or they may begin to move.
  4. Let yourself open to the energy that comes from the Mandala. Feel it flowing into you and through you. Do this for as long as it is comfortable.

After a while you will see the colors changing.

  1. Close your eyes. You can see the mandala with your inner vision (with your eyes closed.) Feel it as it changes. Part of the Mandala may become brighter and then fade.
  2. Imagine and feel the power and energy of the Mandala flowing through you. Feel as it calms you.

This is a special meditative activity and can be used anytime.

Melissa’s Note: So happy to share with you our next installment for the Kids Growing Up Psychic Series, by Shaheen Miro, guest blogger.

You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.   -Mark Twain

Your psychic child is a beacon of light. A spark of the Divine, as we all are, yet he or she has a connection to that spectacular place beyond the veil (that has not yet been shut down). That beautiful thread that connects them to the Other Side is their imagination.

Imagination is the pathway to intuition. It is the blank canvas of possibilities, for which your inner world can come alive, animate itself, and speak to you. Children are intrinsically fantastical. They thrive off of using their imagination to paint the world in all the colors that make their souls feel alive. This is their Divine nature.

Tarotscopes: March 2015

Tarotscopes: March 2015 with the Haindl Tarot

Monthly Theme

Aeon (Judgment)

This is a powerful time of change and transformation. As the spring begins to bloom into life, things begin to shift. The old is melting away, the tears, the pain, and the stagnation. The light is coming back, and the sun begins to shine. You will find yourself in a fluid, fertile, and empowered state. Gather yourself, and move forward. Root yourself in something new… a dream, a goal, a change, an idea. Don’t be fearful… dance in the alchemical fires of rebirth.

Aries March 21-April 19

8 of Swords

You are feeling the strain… the pangs of pain, and interference. Wipe away your tears, and lift your head. This is a time of moving forward. Don’t be afraid of the dark, the unknown. Don’t resist this time to look at your face, worn with time, and experience. There is still light cascading through the shadows. On a fresh sheet of paper write out all the things that bring you sorrow. Write them in red, cross them out with black; burn them in the flames of a fresh candle. Affirm that you are gathering strength from instability.

Taurus April 20-May 20

6 of Stones

Have you felt like your efforts have shown no results? Open your arms wide, and let the golden light shower you with success, with desires manifested! You are reaping the benefits of hard work. This is a time of results. Don’t sell yourself short, and don’t settle for anything less than your goals. As the spring begins to bloom, so too does the seeds that you’ve sewn. Stand still for just a moment, take a deep breath, feel your rhythm… your personal rhythm. Stomp your feet on the ground, jump up and down and feel the solidity of the earth beneath you. You are here, now!

Gemini May 21-June 21

Five of Stones

Be brave, and savor the uncertainty of winter… it is passing. Though the spring is here, you may feel a lag in your personal energy, and your goals as you project forward. There is a feeling of standing still, you may be dancing on stagnant waters, but there is still life dormant beneath you. Reach for it, pull it from deep within, and breathe life into it. Don’t let yourself become idle… life may seem like it is sleeping, but you are restless. Channel that energy into something. Before you realize it, you will find a gentle wind of change healing all wounds, and fog that has filled your heart and mind.

Cancer June 21-July 22

Ace of Wands

You can relax now as all closed doors are opening. Pull in the unfettered energy of optimism and change. Life is beginning, you are beginning again. New projects will be presented to you. An abundance of ideas will flood your consciousness. Keep a notebook near at all times. Write, and sketch out all things that are being gifted to you. The muses are speaking…will you listen? Stand tall, look in the mirror and meditate on your beauty. There is nothing to fear… you are filled with grace now.

Leo July 23-August 22

The Hierophant

In all your sparkling energy you can forget to look at your roots, the road you’ve traveled and the people and places that have touched you. Reach deeply into your memories, look back on the things that have shaped you…don’t see things in black and white… there are only experiences, nothing good, and nothing bad. What has made you beautiful? What has made you bold? Touch your face, study your hands, and peer into your eyes. Do you see your mother, your father, and your ancestors? This meditation will unfold layers of understanding and give you a point of power as you traverse possibilities of the future.

Virgo August 23-September 22

Ace of Cups

You are happening upon a time of great love, and great opportunity in your life. Feed the fragile spark that lives inside you, until it blazes into a dancing fire. Stand with arms outreached, open and ready for the Universe to bestow upon you all the wonders that you’ve so patiently waited for. Spontaneity is your new mantra. Be wild, be free. New love, new opportunity, and new passion follow closely behind as you propel forward into the arms of spring.

Libra September 23-October 22

10 of Cups

Libra, take a moment to remove your shoes, remove all your layers, close your eyes, and begin to wiggle your toes, and fingers. Do you feel that spark of life? There is rich, fertile soil all around you to plant your seeds of desires, and your goals. Tap into this potential. Relish in the abundance of resources at your fingertips. This may not seem apparent at the moment, but as the month progresses you will see little sprouts of life pushing up all around you. Your only task is to say hello!

Scorpio October 23-November 21

The Lovers

It is time to grow, and expand. Feel your humanness. Come up against your edge. Push further, push forward, push yourself gently, but firmly. You are made of light, and shadow. You are of the earth, and the stars. Don’t get lost in the ephemeral world of love, and emotions…let them prompt, and guide you…rather than overwhelm you. There is a great gift waiting to reveal itself. It could come in the form of a person, an opportunity, or a talisman of luck and power. It will reveal itself when you begin to see your other side.

Sagittarius November 22-December 21

Son of Stones

There is great responsibility in your hands. You are shaping, forming, and firing the clay of creation into something that spreads far beyond your own reality. You are paving the way for those around you, and those that come after you. Move forward with a mindfulness of all people… sense the invisible thread that connects all beings together. Sagittarius, you may not see your place in the world as one of influence, though it isn’t apparent, it is very real. Speak with truth, and honesty. You will be recognized, remembered by your actions and words.

Capricorn December 22-January 19

Five of Swords

You are feeling a web of strain, and confusion… this may be confused as defeat. But hold tight to this feeling, as it will be your guide through times of change. Jump, dance, bend with the turbulence…. Let this rumble of energy be the backbone of your beat, shaking your core and freeing the stagnation. Soon you will see the writing on the wall. The crystal visions will form, and things will become clear. The Universe may be moving, but you always have your core. The call of change will lure you when you are ready. Trust this Capricorn, just trust!

Aquarius January 20-February 18

Justice

Be gentle with yourself… you are a creature of breath and emotion. The wind will rise up around you; it will engulf you, lull you, and hold you. This strain of emotion can overwhelm your senses, and throw the heart into desperation. Know that this time is filled with powerful healing, pushing, pulling, and undulating. As one tower falls, another will rise. Hold up the mirror of self-reflection, and self-love. See the powerful being you are. Find balance in the chaos. All things float in equilibrium unbeknownst to you.

Pisces February 19-March 20

Son of Wands

Pisces step into your own as the dancer of creation and destruction. Remember you are a divine being, see through the eyes of the Universe. See the golden lining that binds things together. Layers are being shed, tapestries are being woven. Feel your body, hear your voice… take your power. If you are daring enough to go down the road less traveled… you will be fed, and sustained!

Five Keys to Empowering Yourself with Love

I have been contemplating this idea of self-love more. It’s so simple, and yet so hard to attain. Really being able to look yourself in the eye, and say… I love you. I love you, your flaws, your perfections, your failures, and your victories. It can be so difficult to really see yourself in all those phases, and still really appreciate who, and what you are.

I know I struggle with this. I know you struggle with it. We all do. It’s something that we feel at one time or another. Some of us daily. Some of us feel the struggle of self-love in waves. There are things that help make self-love easier, and other things will spiral it out of control and turn all our pain into very real monsters.

Here are 5 keys to help you on your journey to connecting and honoring yourself more!

Key Number One: Stay Committed to Yourself.

Regardless of how low you feel, or how lost you may seem; your commitment to yourself will be the lantern in the darkness. The simple willingness to uphold yourself, to listen to yourself, to do what is best for yourself… will put you in the right situations!

It isn’t always easy to stay committed to yourself. Sometimes you will let down your guard, casting yourself into something that you know wont make you feel better. But you have to try don’t you? Because you are brave and strong… and that’s how you learn!

Just stay strong! Hang on with all your might.

Key Number Two: Allow Yourself to Be Dark

The darkness is part of you. Don’t hide from your shadow, don’t run from it, and don’t be afraid of it. It isn’t your enemy. It is your friend. Your shadow allows you to learn so much about who you are, what you’re made of and how much you can, and will take!

Whenever you feel dark, just dance! Dance to whatever rhythm you feel. Whatever song you hear playing. Just close your eyes and let go to the beat of it all!

That is one of the best ways to learn to love yourself. If you trust yourself to dance you will feel sexier, stronger, more vibrant. You will seduce the dark!

Key Number Three: Learn to Say No

If you don’t like it… don’t do it! Do not feel responsible for anyone else if it isn’t for your best wellbeing. We spend so much time saying yes to things that we don’t really want to do. We feel guilted into living life a certain way.

I always ask myself: does this feed my spirit, or does it defeat my spirit?

If it doesn’t feed your spirit then you should just move on to the next thing! Don’t get stuck in the mindset that if you say no, you will miss out on something. You don’t miss out on opportunities that are good for you, by saying no to things that feel wrong.

In this big, beautiful Universe… all you have to do to get what you want and need is be you, love you, and smile!

Key Number Four: Daily Life Can Be Exciting

Every single day can be awesome. It can be filled with great things. Don’t wait your whole life for the right person, the right place, the right time… do it now. Live it now. Don’t only do what you love when everything else is “taken care of”. Don’t live your life for vacation, retirement, or the weekends.

This moment right now is perfect! You are beautiful enough to shine right now. So go out there and say what you need to say. Start planting the seeds of your dreams. And water them with lots of love. Because the truth is… you have time to love yourself!

Each moment you spend on anything… you should first take a second to love yourself. It’s easy to forget. But it’s a powerful affirmation, and catalyst of change.

Key Number Five: Self-Love is Self-Healing

You may not always feel strong. You may feel like you are losing a battle with something… it creeps into us now and again! You may not have the energy to do what you want, or what you need. But find just a little, tiny space to be good to yourself.

Because when you are good to yourself… you will also begin to heal yourself. You will heal yourself of all the pain, the upset, the damage, the loss… all the things that make you feel fragmented will begin to heal.

Some things will take longer than others. But it is all rooted in your belief. And your commitment to yourself… remember that!

Here are a few prompts for you. Post, comment or tweet your reply with #SelfLoveFest

Self-trust is a form of self-love. In what ways have you learned to trust your inner knowing?

Being mindful and aware are forms of self-love. How can you be more mindful and live in the present moment?

Acceptance is a form of self-love and the first step to taking charge of your life. What parts of your life could use some acceptance?

It’s February… Love is in the Air!

Love is something that comes up so often in my sessions, and even in my personal life with friends and family. There is this constant conversation happening among people about how to love, when to love, where to find love, how to keep love, and on and on it goes. It’s all pretty power, pretty beautiful, and some times heavy!

Something that is usually left out of the conversation is self-love. I know… crazy right! We want love from other people, we want to give love to other people… but we struggle to love ourselves. But when you begin to look at self-love, you will find a pivotal point of power.

What does that mean?

Well, when you want something in your life (like love, acceptance and romance) you have to also practice those things. And the best way to do that is to cultivate a space in your own life for you to give to yourself.

You see, self-love is not selfish it is actually the opposite. When you practice self-love you are filling yourself up with vibrant, beautiful energy, and you are planting a seed of intention, to not only give love, but to receive love, to feel love, and to live in love. That seed of intention will take root, sprout and blossom into the world, creating a powerful space for you to share the sweet nectar of love with others.

Isn’t it amazing how simple that is? By loving yourself, you begin to thrive… growing into an empowered person. Growing into an authentic person. And by simply being you, in a state of love (our natural state), you can give unconditional love to everyone else.

Because without self-love you have no acceptance, and without acceptance of yourself you begin to have limits, and with limits comes your personal edge… and that edge will be tested so many times by people and situations in your life. If you make self-love one of your truths, then nothing can shake you when your edge creeps up to challenge you!

Here are a few affirmative questions to ask yourself throughout the month!

It would be powerful to journal with these questions, or create affirmations from them.

  1. What self-loving act do you do every day?
  2. Stand in front of the mirror. What do you love most about your face? Name as many as you wish.
  3. What food when you eat it feels like an act of self-love?

Join in the Self-Love Fest of February!

We would love to hear your thoughts, comments and answers!!

How to Spiritually Cleanse Another Person

I want to talk about psychic and spiritual cleansing for another individual. This is a subject that has come up a lot in recent emails, and comments so I think it is important to address it here.

When working for other people in a psychic/spiritual sense there are many layers to the process because you are working with energy, more specifically, the energy surrounding the individual. In order to have a truly solid working the person should be open, and receptive to the cleansing process. If they aren’t open to the process, then they most likely aren’t ready to release whatever is around them.

This does not mean that a cleansing can’t be performed. On some level their higher self may be receptive to this wave of good energy, and willing to let it in. But when people are in psychic trauma they usually oppose whatever has their best interest in mind. So if you are performing a cleansing on someone who isn’t aware of this, you must send it out with the intention that they will receive the good energy if they would like!

With all rituals you are trying to create an energetic and conscious shift through the use of symbolic language and concentrated energy… this can be done in many ways, some simple, and some elaborate. But the process of spiritually cleansing another person can be very simple. All you will need are a few tools of intention.

To begin we will work with a few candles, as they are powerful forms of concentrated and focused energy used by many religions and paths throughout history, and the world! Read more about candle’s here!

You will choose a candle that represents the person being cleansed. This candle is often called an, Astral candle, it represent the person on an energetic level. Often times this candle will be in the color associated to their astrological sign. You can find this information below.

You will need a black, or white candle. This candle will be the magnet that attracts and holds whatever negative energy and attachments are connected to the person being cleansed. This is essential a psychic vacuum, much like an egg is used in spiritual cleansing. Read about Limpia with an Egg here.

You will also need a blue, or pink candle. This candle will be filled with an intention of love, positive energy, health and Universal blessing. Whenever you are performing a spiritual cleansing you want to fill the spaces that are cleared away with good energy! Move something in time and space, and something else must take its place.

Gather together your 3 candles, along with sea salt, spring water, sweetly scented incense, and a lighter. You can also have a piece of paper with the persons name written on it, or a photograph of them. This is an energetic connection to them to help focus your intention.

Find a space where you will not be disturbed. Place all of your tools of intention on a table, tray or in one area of the ground. Make sure you have proper candleholders, a pitcher of water nearby for accidents, and that nothing will be in the way of the candles as they burn. You may want to place them on a plate so you can easily move them to burn after the cleansing.

When you are ready to begin find a seated position on the floor. Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply. Let your breath become rhythmic… in and out. Feeling your belly expand, rise, and then fall. Lulling you deeper into a meditative state.

Allow your mind to unwind. Your thoughts to disentangle. Relax your feet, your legs, your hips, and your core. Relax your chest, your shoulders, neck and arms. Let your head fall down between your shoulder blades. Let it hang for a few moments just feeling a good stretch. Keep breathing. Keeping your rhythm.

Now begin to visualize yourself being surrounded by a beautiful bubble of white light. See it glow brightly, growing around you and forming a beautiful protective barrier. This is the white light of the Universe surrounding you in protection.

Around this white light visualize a beautiful blue light. This blue light glows brightly with a gentle hue that evokes a feeling of love, and healing. This is the healing light of the Universe adding to your intention.

Now you can begin your intention for cleansing.

Mix the sea salt, and spring water together. This is a powerful cleansing agent. Sprinkle the salt water around yourself, and around the space. Sprinkle it over the candles, and the other tools you have gathered.

Now light the incense. Let the smoke waft around the space, and around your body. Let it lift the energy in the air, and create an atmosphere of power, and sacred healing. Take your 3 candles and waft them through the smoke of the incense to release any stray energy held within.

Hold in your hands the first candle, the astral candle. Wash it gently with salt water, allowing it to cleanse and bless the candle. Now with the candle held in your palms begin to concentrate and visualize the person begin cleansed. Think of them as they are now. Their personality, their physical characteristics, their voice, their movement. Their mental and emotional state. Intend that this candle represent whomever you are cleansing.

Place the candleholder overtop of the photo/paper with their name on it. Now light the candle in the holder and say:

I affirm that this light is (name the person).

Now hold in your hands the second candle, either black or white. Wash it with salt water. With the candle in your palms begin to focus on the person being cleansed. Focus on their condition. See all the pain, the struggle, the sorrow, the attachments and limiting energies going into the candle. Intend that the candle is a magnet that attracts and absorbs the heavy energy surrounding whomever you are cleansing.

Light this candle from the astral candle. As the flame of the astral candle lights the flame of the banishing candle, see it as transference of negative energy. From the person you are cleansing, to the candle! Now place it in the holder and say:

As this candle burns down, so does the negative energy surrounding (name the person).

Take the last candle in your hand, blue or pink. Wash it with salt water. Hold it in your palms and visualize it glowing with a beautiful light filled with love, blessing, and healing and positive energy. See this candle as a beacon of blessing, shinning into the life of the person being cleansed.

Light this candle in the flame of the astral candle. See this as a new life for the person. As the flame burns brightly, say:

I intend that as this flame burns bright it fills the life of (name the person) with love, happiness, healing, positive energy and blessing. This is the light of the Universe smiling upon him or her.

Take some time to allow the candles to burn, and just breathe into your intention. Continue to visualize the power behind the candles. See the person being released of all negative energy, and being blessed. Visualize them being surrounded by the white light of protection, and the blue light of healing.

Now say a prayer, silently or out loud:

This cleansing session is for the highest good of (name the person). This intention is his or hers to freely accept.

Allow the candles to completely burn down. If, for some reason, you have to extinguish them before they can burn down, do it with a snuffer! Place the remaining stubs in a paper bag, sprinkle sea salt over it, and dispose of them in the trash.

This spiritual and psychic cleansing ceremony can be used for another person, or you can use it for yourself. The choice is yours. Just change the wording accordingly. Make sure you feel confident about performing a cleansing like this. Listen to your intuition, and evaluate your own energy levels!

List of Astral Candle Colors:

This is a general source of colors. Trust your intuition with this as well. If the person has a favorite color, use that. If you don’t know their zodiac sign, or you cannot obtain that color candle use white.

Gemini: Light Blue

The Spider’s Medicine

As a creative there is a place that lies between worlds in which you go to tap into your spirit. This is the liminal space where light and shadow becomes one, where abstract ideas and inspiration become whole and tangible. As an artist you are a channel, bringing into life something that is beyond the everyday… whether it be words, sounds, visual or tangible art.

When traveling in the neither regions I often find the Spider to be a powerful guide. She is the weaver of words, the keeper of the alphabet and language. She spins gossamer thin strands into a strong and mighty tapestry that captivates, and even imprisons you.

The Spider is the patron of all artists, especially writers.

When the Spider visits you, you know you are about to embark on a powerful journey. She is the Queen of intrigue. She lures people in, ask them to stay for a while, and entices all their senses. She creeps in and out of your consciousness, and begs you to take a deeper look.

If you see spiders throughout your daily life… ask yourself, “What story must I begin to tell?” or “What idea must I weave into existence?”

The Spider asks you to pay attention. She advises you to let ideas simmer and incubate in the dark matter of your spirit, until the time is right. So be patient with your creative ventures. Be an observer. Notice what you notice. When the inspiration hits… it is time to act!

My personal spirit guide is a black cat named, Spooky. She slips in and out of my life. Giving me little signs. Sometimes they are warnings, and other times they are nudges to move forward. She always makes herself known, blessing and protecting me along my path.

A few years ago when I spent my winter in New York City she took on another life. I would have these very vivid dreams of Spooky. I would be in some random space, a little disoriented, but unafraid. And suddenly there she would be. Winding around my legs, stirring the energies in the room. And then suddenly she would transform herself into a huge jet black Tarantula.

The Tarantula would climb up my body; scurry around my back, and onto my shoulders. Then she would make her way to my scalp and rest on the crown of my head. Her energy was mysterious, daunting and very magnetic.

I knew the Tarantula was a friend. I knew she was blessing me and pushing me to take my art to another level. Spooky called her into my consciousness. Like a beam of light, she lit up the dark spaces. That winter was a powerful time of finding myself, as a person, as a spirit, and as an artist. I wrote differently after that. I drew differently. I approached things in a whole new way.
When I stray far from my gypsy soul… I see the Spider. She is another facet of the little, friendly black cat that blurs in and out of my awareness. When I see her I know a door is about to open, and idea is about to be born. I remind myself to pay attention.
The medicine of the Spider is so unique because it challenges our worldview and shakes things up. She truly is the guardian and guide of all creative efforts. Ask for her help. She is an amazing listener. She will give you the answers you need.

Appropriately enough, as I sit here writing this, I pick up a deck of cards and one randomly falls from it. The card that jumped out to say hello is the, “Throne of Spiders”. To me this is an invitation for all of you to step into her kingdom, to be knighted by her medicine.

Ways to Invite the Spider’s Medicine into Your Life:

  • Find a beautiful painting of a Spider. Leave it at your desk, altar, or some other place of power within your personal space. This will invite her spirit. When you are feeling stifled with writers block, or unsure what path to go down next with a project, just ask for her help.
  • Keep a small talisman of a Spider with you. This could be a spider totem carved from onyx, or wood. A medallion with her image embossed on it. Or even a small painted image that you carry on a necklace. This will allow you to digest the powerful energies she holds.
  • Light a black candle placed over an image of a Spider. This will be your lantern of creativity.
  • Weave a dream catcher from silver thread. Add a few black, dark blue, or green beads to it. Adorn it with images for the Spider, or something that captures your creativity. This will serve as a talisman that attracts abundant creative ideas!

Be creative! The Spider will connect with you in whatever way feels appropriate.

Trust your spirit.
