To all the Gypsies

My head and heart have been filled with so many things. Shadows and glimmers of light, blooming into stories. There is something in the air that hints at change. I see it outwardly… a big move coming, and a chance to see my life from a different vantage point. It is empowering to take a step forward into the unknown, and closer to the life that feels congruent with my spirit.

In some ways I feel like I am finally learning to dance, and yet I am still learning from my own inner monsters… but isn’t that the journey we are all on? For now I see a few things clearly. The moment to moment just makes sense, as long as I don’t think too much about it. “Just be”, That’s what I hear in my heart.

Here is to new life, and new adventures. I am opening myself up to the good things. I am taking time to let myself be with love, and light. To be with my dreams, and my goals. I know there is a lot of magic still to be found.

Now that all these changes are happening I have to honor when I can and cant do things. I need to honor when there is no need to write, and jump at the chance to explore a new idea. It doesn’t always make sense on the outside. But life isn’t about making sense to the outside world… it’s about making sense to yourself.

My prayer is that I can learn to dance, to move and grind with all the things that live inside, and all the things that the Universe is sending my way. The more open, the more humble, and the more grateful I am the more magic I seem to find. I guess that is grace. I affirm grace in this moment, in each moment.

Take a moment to feel the grace inside of you. Take a moment to affirm grace. Be beautiful, and be brace. Most of all spread your love to the world… there is so much need for this right now. It is so easy to forget that!

Sending love to all the Gypsies out there.

The Full Moon in January: The Wolf Moon

The Wolf Moon in Cancer January 5,6,7 2015

The Full Moon in January is called, The Wolf Moon. This full moon is in Cancer, which allows us to access our thoughts and emotions, and to channel this keen sensitivity into knowledge and insight. This is especially beneficial with relationships, and connections to key people in your life.

As the Wolf Moon is regarded as the time of letting go of the old, and embracing the new make some symbolic gestures of cleansing dust from the last year, and welcoming the blessing of this year in your life. This is also a powerful time to bless your home.

Do this by thoroughly cleaning your home. Washing the floors, walls and windows. Dust all the areas of the room, especially the hidden nooks and crannies. Get ride of things you no longer use. Donate or give them away.

Burn sage, fresh white candles, and place a bowl of sea salt in each room to absorb stray energy. Purchase a bouquet of desirable flowers and place them in the entrance of your home as a token of new life, success and vitality flowing into your home.

This is a good time to purchase something new for yourself as well! A nice picture, mirror or lamp. Something that adds to the atmosphere of your home.

The intense energy circulating around right now may be a bit overwhelming, but stay grounded and intentional with your efforts. Let go of the past year, and ground yourself in your 2015 goals.

To honor the Wolf Moon you can also take a moment of solitude. Light a white, or violet candle to honor the energies of the moon. Sit in meditation, and let it’s flame lull you into the in-between. You may light incense to set the moon, musk is an appropriate scent for this time. Focus on all the things you are releasing, and ask blessings for the New energy that is coming into you life.

Be particularly aware of any insight you are receiving at this time as your intuition is extra charged with the Full Moon, and the energy of Cancer. Take note of anything that comes to you… especially in dreams.

Be good to yourself!

The Gypsy’s Tricks for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection: A Winter Solstice Ceremony

The Winter Solstice is the return of the Sun. This is a time to honor the graceful flow of age, and death. And to welcome the light back into our lives. As you release the old… as we did in October, you begin to make space and call in energy for new projects, new life, and good feelings.

Allow yourself time to honor the new light that is coming in. Honor yourself because you are the light of your own life. This is a powerful preparation for the New Year, and will empower the goals and aspirations that you set as we move into the coming year.

A Ceremony for Winter Solstice:

In a darkened room at Midnight gather together a tray with a symbol of light such as a fresh white candle, a token of property like a crystal, or gold coin, and a warm cup of ginger, cinnamon or spiced tea.

Create your sacred space by closing all doors, and windows, and sending any disturbances away. Set your items in the center of the room. When you are ready begin to drift into a meditate state. Breathing deeply. Swaying slowly.

Contemplate on the darkness of your own life. The fertile darkness. The uncomfortable darkness. The friendly darkness. The safe darkness. The confusing darkness. Take in all the feelings that surround the dark.

Push through those feelings. Release them into the night.

Begin to imagine a spark of light tin the center of your mind. A gentle, little spark. Like a star. Let that spark grow, and grow, and grow… until it becomes a ray. Until it becomes like the sun, and you are filled with light.

What does the light mean to you?

Now light the candle, or lantern. Speak to the flam. Rejoice in it. Give it thanks. Ask for it to shine throughout your life.

Take the token of prosperity in your hand, and hold it close to your heart. Muster feelings of gratitude and prosperity. Say a prayer of thanks for all the things that you’ve been given throughout the year. And say goodbye to the things that no longer serve you. Let the good move in. Create energetic space for your blessings.

Be with this feeling for a while. This is a talisman of prosperity. Keep it with you, or in your home.

When you’ve basked in feelings of gratitude and abundance shift your focus to what is next. Sip your tea. Take in its sweet and spicy taste. Let it fill your mouth, your head and your body. Let it move through you. Warming and reminding you of all the wonders that the light holds.

Send feelings of wonder and excitement into the future. This good energy will be waiting for you in the New Year.

Talk out loud to the Universe. Speak all the things you want to bring into your life in the New Year. Speak all the things you want to experience, change and feel. Be as honest, open and sincere as you can. Feel as if these things are already real.

Bask in this feeling.

When you are finished with your tea, and you have taken in all the energy of the light… give one last thank you.

Let the light burn out.

Keep your talisman of luck with you somewhere close… sleep with it under your pillow tonight.

The light is in your life. Honor it.

Shedding, Growing, Transforming

This is a time of endings. Things are cycling out of your life, and creating space for a new phase, a new mindset, and a new year. As you begin to move into the slow, and insulated realm of the winter months you will find it natural to go within, and reflect.

It is our primal nature to change with the seasons, but in the modern world we become somewhat removed from this. Linking into the pulse of the Universe, and the rhythm of the seasons will remove blocks and stagnation, and empower you.

Having a place to befriend your reflection, listen to the whispers of your spirit, and then shed your layers is very important. Give yourself the opportunity to go through this powerful transformation.

A sacred energy is filling the air…an energy that hints at new life, though we must dance through the dark of the winter first. Energetically speaking, this time of year is a spiritual gestation period. Things are settling, digesting and integrating.

To move this sacred act forward practice moments of silence, gestures of gratitude, and create a vibration of love.

This links into the Holiday seasons because we are giving gifts, spending time with family, and looking for ways to give back and connect. Make sure you do this with from the heart center… know why you are giving, know why are your spending time with family.

Be mindful that you have to give love, time and thanks to yourself! You are the spark at the center of your life. Find equilibrium between giving and receiving. That will feed your spirit.
