How to Prepare a Crystal Bath for Empaths

“Empaths are highly attuned, sensitive individuals who have a natural connection to the subtle worlds. These are the subtle worlds of thought, emotion, spirit and energy. These people tend to be artistic, intuitive and right-brained individuals who process the world around them through “feeling”.”

-5 Tips for the Thriving Empath, Shaheen

It is essential for empathic people to take time for rest and relaxation. This is how you disconnect from harmful energies, and recharge yourself so that you feel more vital. I urge you to make a daily ritual of this. You will find yourself improving every day.

A powerful way to recharge your essence, and bring yourself to center is through the ritual of bathing. Bathing has been a powerful form of energetic cleansing for thousands of years, and it offers you a chance to charge your energy with good intention.

Adding crystals to your bathwater will create a unique vibration that can infuse the aura, and invigorate the spirit. I have created a simple bath for empaths. Try this and see how you feel.

Crystal Bath for Empaths

Gather 3 crystals: Citrine, Amethyst, and Rose Quartz.

Citrine is the path opener stone. It pushes out negative vibrations and enhances the aura to a state of wellbeing. Amethyst is a stone of protection, and clarity, opening the third eye to help with clear intuitive perception. Amethyst will also act as a vacuum for holding unnecessary energies. Rose Quartz is a heart stone, releasing any bound up energies that may be clogging the heart center.

Combined together, these 3 stones create a calming, healing and stabilizing vibration that will benefit anyone, especially the empath.

Also gather essential oils of lavender, rosemary and geranium.

To create your sacred bath fill you tube half full with warm water. Make sure that the temperature suites a relaxing state of mind. This is a type of meditation, and isn’t meant for bathing with soap. You are creating a sacred moment.

Add to the water 3-5 drops of each oil. Be sure to do this as the water runs, dropping them under the spout so that the oils are dispersed evenly through the bath. You can even drop the oils in ½ cup of witch hazel, and then pour them into the bath.

Now place each stone into the water, focusing on their specific vibration. Ask for their energies to infuse the bath, and charge your aura to bring you into equilibrium, and honor your highest good.

When the bath is ready, simply step in and sink down. Let yourself melt into the calming presence of the scents of the botanicals, the vibration of the crystals and the serenity of being alone, and in the moment.

Release anything that seems to be troubling you. Imagine that it is flowing out, into the water, and transformed by the healing properties. Let yourself be filled with light, and vitality. Feel this in every fiber of your being. You are glowing.

Set an intention for yourself. Affirm that you are safe, balanced and whole. Affirm that you are in this moment, now… fully present, open to the shift, and completely deserving of this gift.

Stay there for at least 15 minutes, or as long as you like. When you are finished express a feeling of gratitude. Towel yourself dry, and turn in for the evening.

5 Tips for the Thriving Empath

Empaths are highly attuned, sensitive individuals who have a natural connection to the subtle worlds. These are the subtle worlds of thought, emotion, spirit and energy. These people tend to be artistic, intuitive and right-brained individuals who process the world around them through “feeling”.

The reality of the empath can be confusing and painful because they tend to take the weight of the world on their shoulders. On a vibratory level, empathic people are highly attuned, meaning that they can tap into things that others may not. Usually they are more introverted, and need reprieve form the world around them.

Stillness, rest, and retreat are the necessity of the empath, yet empathic people seldom create the space for this in their lives. Usually this is the result of not knowing that you are experiencing life through empathic awareness. But now you have validation that you are not alone, nor are you “too sensitive”. Actually you have been given a fine-tuned gift, a type of navigation system to guide you through the world, and down the path to your highest good!

5 Tips for the Thriving Empath

  1. Stay grounded in your daily life.
  2. Take time for rest, regeneration and stillness.
  3. Eat foods that ground you such as root vegetables, nuts, and stone fruits.
  4. Set an intention for yourself each day that expresses your highest good.
  5. Say no to things that deplete your energy, always asking yourself: Is this feeding my spirit?

The Gypsy’s Tricks for Spiritual Cleansing and Protection: Got White Light? Staying “Psychically” Safe

Lately I’ve been thinking about psychic protection and how important it is. I am constantly around new people, rushing on and off buses and down hectic streets and I constantly feel the invasive and alien presence of other people’s energies trying to intermingle with my own. I always place protection around myself, but its in those moments especially I silently surround myself with a good solid shield.

During session I often talk with people about their energy levels. Many people complain about feeling drained at work or around a certain individual. Some people struggle with sleeping at night or being in certain areas of their house even. And I often find it is because of a lack of protection. It’s extremely important to be protected energetically.

The importance of surrounding yourself with energetic protection is the utmost! Our energy is like a glowing, swirling mass of beautiful golden light. It is magnetic, brilliant and sparkling. To quote Gollum, it is, “The precious!” Your energetic field, some may call it your aura, your life force, it is the conglomeration of everything that you are and if you aren’t protecting it you are allowing any and everyone/ thing to have access to it.

What I like to do, which is very simple, is to visualize a white light like a waterfall falling from the sky, flowing around me, forming a glowing shield of bright, white, fiery light around me. I instill in this image the intention that no harm can cross this shield. I also like to visualize mirrored sphere surrounding that white light, reflecting outward. And I put the intention that all negative and harmful energies be deflected from me.

I often call on protection when I feel really in need. No matter what your spiritual or religious background is you may call on Spirit to guide and protect you. You can even call on a specific energy by name. Such as an angel, deity, master or saint. I like to call on Archangel Michael because his energy is intense, vibrant, loving and extremely powerful. I know if he is around nothing is coming my way. I have a personal connection to him and it makes me feel even safer to call on him and his band of helpers.

I see Michael as this tall, beautiful, dark headed man… with a chiseled jaw and sturdy figure. His eyes burn with devotion and authority and his gestures are gentle and graceful. He carries with him a fiery sword that wards off and cuts through all negativity and harm. I ask him to stand near me surrounding me in protection and I always know he is there. Please explore… pull from what feels right to you. If you feel an affinity with a particular entity then ask them to protect you.

You can also recite a prayer or chant. Even wear a few protective talismans or stones. Use whatever invokes a sense of protection and security around you. Be mindful that whenever you are in crowded places especially you are more vulnerable to others latching onto your energy. So you may wish to have a ritual of sorts to do often or on the spot if needed.

If you aren’t psychically protected what you can experience is a feeling of being drained, angry, anxious, depressed, physically sick and spaced out. Basically it is the affect of either people pulling at your energy and draining it, or you taking on the energy of other people; you either become victim to a psychic vampire (someone who sucks away your essence) or you pick up empathetic impressions (you take on the emotions/ mental state of someone else). White light helps to avoid this.

Even if you think this sounds too esoteric or too mystical magical… try it. See what happens if you just take a few minutes to visualize white light around you. Try it before taking the bus to work, or before going into a stressful meeting or entering a busy coffee shop. See how you feel afterwards. I promise it will help.

I hope these techniques offer something for your spiritual practice! Please, let me know if you have any other questions.
