How to Prepare a Crystal Bath for Empaths

“Empaths are highly attuned, sensitive individuals who have a natural connection to the subtle worlds. These are the subtle worlds of thought, emotion, spirit and energy. These people tend to be artistic, intuitive and right-brained individuals who process the world around them through “feeling”.”

-5 Tips for the Thriving Empath, Shaheen

It is essential for empathic people to take time for rest and relaxation. This is how you disconnect from harmful energies, and recharge yourself so that you feel more vital. I urge you to make a daily ritual of this. You will find yourself improving every day.

A powerful way to recharge your essence, and bring yourself to center is through the ritual of bathing. Bathing has been a powerful form of energetic cleansing for thousands of years, and it offers you a chance to charge your energy with good intention.

Adding crystals to your bathwater will create a unique vibration that can infuse the aura, and invigorate the spirit. I have created a simple bath for empaths. Try this and see how you feel.

Crystal Bath for Empaths

Gather 3 crystals: Citrine, Amethyst, and Rose Quartz.

Citrine is the path opener stone. It pushes out negative vibrations and enhances the aura to a state of wellbeing. Amethyst is a stone of protection, and clarity, opening the third eye to help with clear intuitive perception. Amethyst will also act as a vacuum for holding unnecessary energies. Rose Quartz is a heart stone, releasing any bound up energies that may be clogging the heart center.

Combined together, these 3 stones create a calming, healing and stabilizing vibration that will benefit anyone, especially the empath.

Also gather essential oils of lavender, rosemary and geranium.

To create your sacred bath fill you tube half full with warm water. Make sure that the temperature suites a relaxing state of mind. This is a type of meditation, and isn’t meant for bathing with soap. You are creating a sacred moment.

Add to the water 3-5 drops of each oil. Be sure to do this as the water runs, dropping them under the spout so that the oils are dispersed evenly through the bath. You can even drop the oils in ½ cup of witch hazel, and then pour them into the bath.

Now place each stone into the water, focusing on their specific vibration. Ask for their energies to infuse the bath, and charge your aura to bring you into equilibrium, and honor your highest good.

When the bath is ready, simply step in and sink down. Let yourself melt into the calming presence of the scents of the botanicals, the vibration of the crystals and the serenity of being alone, and in the moment.

Release anything that seems to be troubling you. Imagine that it is flowing out, into the water, and transformed by the healing properties. Let yourself be filled with light, and vitality. Feel this in every fiber of your being. You are glowing.

Set an intention for yourself. Affirm that you are safe, balanced and whole. Affirm that you are in this moment, now… fully present, open to the shift, and completely deserving of this gift.

Stay there for at least 15 minutes, or as long as you like. When you are finished express a feeling of gratitude. Towel yourself dry, and turn in for the evening.

How to Work with Pyrite for Psychic and Spiritual Protection

Pyrite

Pyrite is one of my favorite stones to work with. You are probably familiar with Pyrite, commonly called, “Fools Gold”. It is a highly reflective, metallic stone that forms in cube shapes, or round disks. When held in one light it shines a soft gold, and turned another it has a lighter, almost silver hue.

Pyrite actually means, “fire” connecting this stone with fire energy. Pyrite grows as cubic crystals made of iron sulfide, which connects it to earth energy. If struck together Pyrite will actually create sparks.

Energetically Pyrite ground, centers, focuses and establishes boundaries and authority. In times when you need to be more focused, extroverted and assertive, Pyrite is a powerful ally. Working with the energy of Pyrite will help to re-establish your natural connection to the earth, pulling it into your core, creating a type of personal “fire” that can be directed to clear away unwanted forces, or ignite new ideas.

Ideally, Pyrite is used for psychic and spiritual protection. Naturally it pulls in stray, excess energy, and mingles this with strong earth energy. This energy creates a force field around the wearer that fortifies the personal aura, but adding an extra layer of armor. This force field establishes personal space, and boundaries, and keeps unwanted influence at bay.

The reflective quality of Pyrite hints at its ability to deflect negative energy and influence. I have found that Pyrite will deflect, and return negative, and harmful thoughts to the sender. This is especially helpful for people who suffer from depression, anxiety, and mental anguish.

Empathics, spiritual workers, and public figures benefit greatly from Pyrite as it helps to define personal space, and boost self-confidence so that you can overcome, face, and eloquently work through any situation. Visualize Pyrite as a grounding rod for high impact energies that are inundating the wearer.

Keeping Pyrite in the workspace is especially auspicious because it transmutes energy. On a deeper level Pyrite ignites an alchemical process that marries Earth and Sun. When kept in a workspace you will begin to feel a subtle strength that permeates the air, adding to the flow of creative ideas, confidence, and the ability to follow through to the end.

Pyrites transformative quality is the core of its power as a protective stone. Unlike stones that just ward off negative energy, Pyrite actually pulls the unwanted energy into it’s core, thus establishing a protective boundary that will deflect any remaining energy that works to overwhelm it’s perimeter. I like to this of Pyrite as a proactive stone. It doesn’t passively weather the storm, it works to shift and change the energies at play for a more conducive atmosphere.

Tapping into the protective nature of this stone is simple. Find a beautiful piece of Pyrite that speaks to you. Hold it in your hand; establish a connection with the stone by feeling it. Let it speak to you. Befriend it.

What does it feel like when you hold it?

What parts of your body does it activate?

What emotions, sensations, and impression do you have?

Graciously ask for your Pyrite crystal to create a protective barrier around you. You can be general, or very specific about what you wish to be shielded from. I like to affirm my intention by speaking out loud to the crystal. Holding it in my hand, turning it around gently on all sides. Breathing into its life force, and inhaling it into my own.

Once you have established this connection carry your crystal with you. Keep it in your pocket, purse, or on a piece of jewelry. I carry a bag that I keep my current crystal friends in. When I am working in a stationary setting I will take them all out, one by one, saying hello, reaffirming my intention and asking for their help again, and then I arrange them around me!

Sleeping with Pyrite on your bedside table, or under your pillow is especially powerful. This is beneficial for people who feel they are under psychic attach, extreme pressure, or if you are experiencing nightmares.

Cleanse and recharge Pyrite crystals by placing them in a bowl of rock salt. Set them in a sunny window to recharge, and pull out their luster. Never put them in water. Pyrite is especially friendly with Black Tourmaline, and Hematite.

Shedding, Growing, Transforming

This is a time of endings. Things are cycling out of your life, and creating space for a new phase, a new mindset, and a new year. As you begin to move into the slow, and insulated realm of the winter months you will find it natural to go within, and reflect.

It is our primal nature to change with the seasons, but in the modern world we become somewhat removed from this. Linking into the pulse of the Universe, and the rhythm of the seasons will remove blocks and stagnation, and empower you.

Having a place to befriend your reflection, listen to the whispers of your spirit, and then shed your layers is very important. Give yourself the opportunity to go through this powerful transformation.

A sacred energy is filling the air…an energy that hints at new life, though we must dance through the dark of the winter first. Energetically speaking, this time of year is a spiritual gestation period. Things are settling, digesting and integrating.

To move this sacred act forward practice moments of silence, gestures of gratitude, and create a vibration of love.

This links into the Holiday seasons because we are giving gifts, spending time with family, and looking for ways to give back and connect. Make sure you do this with from the heart center… know why you are giving, know why are your spending time with family.

Be mindful that you have to give love, time and thanks to yourself! You are the spark at the center of your life. Find equilibrium between giving and receiving. That will feed your spirit.

7 Ways to Make Time for Stillness

Tapping into your intuition and following your psychic nudges begins with stillness! As we are creating sacred space in our lives it becomes more and more important to stop and listen… listen to the voice inside of your, the dialogue running through your head, and the worn-out thoughts, beliefs and ideas you are replaying.

Do you ever feel completely overwhelmed, even frustrated by the amount of things running through your head? I know I experience this feeling of exhaustion from time to time… sometimes it’s brought on with good intentions. I am sitting there just channeling some sort of creative idea or inspiration and then I keel over in defeat because the amount of energy it takes to think about it all is so overwhelming… and then I remember… stillness!

You will never really hear all the beautiful things your spirit is trying to tell you until you stop and listen!

So many of us want answers about our lives. We are wondering what’s next. Where we are going. How life is going to be. How we are going to solve our problems. Fix our mistakes. Right our wrongs. Or achieve our dreams.

You know you’ve been asking the Universe these big questions. Talk, talk, talk… now listen!

The Universe can never solve your problems if you don’t shut up and listen!

Sometimes the answers are subtle; sometimes they are loud and clear. Sometimes they will be spelled out for you. You may get hit with a sudden feeling of inspiration. You may hear a song, or a phrase that just hits the spot.

These things come when you make space for them.

A few ways you can do this:

  1. Spend a few minutes daily in meditation. This can be done before you begin your day, or just when you end it.
  1. Prayer is often us asking for guidance, but the heart of prayer… the real secret is to stop and listen. What feelings do you get. What vibration is firing through you as you are communicating with the Divine?
  1. It’s all about staying in motion. Feel yourself move, feel your body. Get out of your head and. Let your mind, body and spirit connect through exercise, yoga or even a long walk. I love doing yoga because I have to be present when I am in a pose. I have to listen to my body and my breath. Usually the places where you hold tension in you body give you insight into where you are being rigid in your life.
  1. Enjoy a warm cup of tea. Let yourself smell all the lovely aromas, and feel the steam open up your head. Take a sip and swirl the liquid around your tongue. Actually taste the tea (or whatever you’re drinking). This will allow you to be present, to observe whatever is happening in that moment. And it’s so soothing!
  1. Take a nice long bath and let the tension of your day melt from your body. Don’t rush or worry. You are in this moment relaxing. Let the steam and the bubbles and all the delicious scents clear your head and heart. Sing and smile and close your eyes. Some of the best revelations come in a warm bath.
  1. Spend more times with your pets. These spirit babies are gifts from the Universe sent here to add unconditional love and understanding to your life. They help to transmute negative energy and turn into in to positive and productive energy. When you connect with the pure feelings of love you link into your intuitive self.
  1. Take time to listen to good, uplifting music. Let the word and sounds enter you. Sing along or just close your eyes and drift away. Music isn’t meant to be background noise. It’s meant to be a doorway to another world where you can feel and experience something inside of your, or something more expansive than you. Open up and let go for a while.

As you move through the levels of stillness you are creating internal sacred space. Giving yourself this space allows you to tap into all of your wisdom. This is really the heart of spirituality. Finding center and learning to live from that place is the most pure intention.

The Gypsy’s Tricks for Spiritual Cleaning and Protection: When Should You Spiritually Cleanse Your Home?

Spiritual hygiene feeds into the energetic story you are telling. If you practice good spiritual hygiene, you will add positive energy and abundance to your life. Paths will begin to open, and opportunities will fall in your life.

But spiritual cleansing is for more than just your body… it is for your home as well! Creating a high vibration in the home will add to your overall experience. Your home is a reflection of you. If you take care if it, then it will take care of you!

When should you spiritually cleanse your home?

1. When you first move in.

Whenever you first move into a space you should spiritually cleanse it. You should bless the space and remove any negative or stagnant energy that may be lingering in the space. Previous residents will leave their unique vibration on the space, and that vibration may not feed into the experience you are trying to have. Shifting this energy, and clearing the slate will empower you and the life you are beginning to lead in the new space.

2. When there is a fight or altercation.

It is especially important to clear the air after an intense fight or argument. Altercations in the home taint the atmosphere and leave an imprint on the delicate energy field that surrounds your home. If this is left unattended it can grow into a powerful force that influences your mood, and the interactions you have in the space. Do you have a room, or space in your home that always seems to instigate a fight? It’s time to clear the air!

3. When Tragedy has struck.

If there has been a tragedy in the home you should absolutely perform a cleansing. This will help to move the healing process along faster. A tragedy could be anything from a loss of a loved one, to a financial set back. Adding this positive vibration to the mix will ensure that you make it through trying times with grace.

4. When changes are being made.

Any time you are making change in the home such as construction, or moving things around, or downsizing you should perform some small act of cleansing. This will help things settle and patch up any psychic holes that may ensue from moving things around. Energy is like dust. If things are ruffled up… forgotten energies may show up!

5. When someone moves in or moves out.

Always, always, always do a cleansing when someone moves in or out of the space. This will help their energetic thumbprint align with, or disconnect from the space. Remember, your home is a living energetic being just like you. Everything in the space, or that comes in contact with the space weaves into the energetic structure. Sometimes adding or taking something away will shake things up and cause a feeling of chaos. This usually settles in time, but with a little spiritual cleansing, things will equalize much faster.

6. After illness has been in the household.

Illness vibrates at a low level. When illness falls upon your home it will weaken the vibration and pull things downward. To counteract this you should lift the spirits of the space. This often helps the healing process along faster. This can be a major illness, or a minor cold!

7. When someone dies.

Again, when someone leaves/dies you want to disconnect their energy from the energetic vibration of the space. Don’t fear that you are forgetting about them, or keeping their spirit from visiting… this process helps to bring healing to the space and the people the live in it. When we are grieving there is a need to look forward. If you keep yourself in old worn-out energy patterns you begin limiting yourself, and giving away abundant energy that could be invested in more important dreams and goals.

8. After the winter.

Winter is time of rest and recuperation. Though it can turn into stagnation. The energy in your home will begin to get stuffy and cluttered though the winter. Doing a major “energetic” spring-cleaning will propel things forward into full bloom! Where do you think spring-cleaning came from! Out with the old and in with the new!

Stay tuned for more tips on spiritual cleanings in the home! We will learn more about creating beautiful sacred space!
