7 Power Thoughts for Living More Intently

 

Do you want more joy?

Do you want to feel empowered, inspired, authentic and whole?

I know I do! Many of us are looking for more ways to find true north, to find true place and purpose in the world. But more importantly many of us are looking for ways to actually feel in the flow of living.

I have a few power thoughts for you to contemplate. A few little seeds of truth that can help you activate your innate goodness. When you begin to use these action steps you will fall into the flow, live on purpose, and make daily steps to living intently.

I’ve said it before, and I will say it again… we are all telling an energetic story! Our energetic story is our views of the world, and how we play in it. The idea of being authentic seems to come up a lot in the “new age”, self-help and metaphysical world… for some of us it may sound like fluff! But what we are actually talking about is being conscious and aware of what our intentions are!

Okay so here we go!

  1. Are you focused on your health and wellbeing?

Your body is always talking to you! Isn’t that a fun idea? Whatever you are dealing with physically is the accumulated history of your energetic story, your perspective of the world. When you live life completely cut off from your inner voice, your intuition, you being to give up ownership of your body.

Have you been dealing with any physical issues?

Any illness, pain or discomfort?

Your disease is a message waiting to be heard. So listen. Just stop for a moment and listen.

Ask yourself: If my disease is a metaphor what does it represent?

Feed yourself good foods. Exercise. Get plenty of sleep. Drink water. Do not feel guilty when you fall off track. Believe me I love potato chips and cookies. When we look at food like the enemy then our intention becomes: Whatever I eat is going to deplete me. Bless your cookie, baby!

  1. How are you taking action?

Inaction is passive living. When you live passively you are telling the Universe, and all the other things you are linked into… do what you want with me because I’m not in control. Be clear about what you are doing, and what you are not doing.

If it’s not yes, then it’s no! Wow. Now you can take action. Stop struggling with maybe. Stop struggling with indecisiveness. When you are indecisive you are leaking out your power everywhere.

Ask yourself: Why am I afraid to take action? What do I have to lose? How can I take ownership of my life now?

Guilt is not welcomed here. Don’t do it for a second. So what… you haven’t been taking the reins for a while. Now you can. The present moment is your place of power. Look at your past inaction is a gathering period. You were in fear of something before, but remind yourself: Fear usually tells us we are getting closer to something good.

  1. Do you choose positive thoughts?

Negative self-talk is a pandemic. Thinking negatively seems to be in vogue, everyone just accepts it as the way it is. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Really! You do not have to tell yourself negative things. In fact you’ve probably been telling yourself negative things without even knowing it.

So what happens if you change your inner dialogue to something positive?

Have you ever tried it?

What does it feel like when you say something negative to yourself?

How does it feel in your body?

What happens to your mood?

What happens to your energy?

What happens to your digestive system?

Now say something positive.

How does that feel? What changed?

You don’t have to believe it right away. Talk nicely to yourself. Think of your mind, your spirit, and your empowered self, like a little, feisty black cat. You have to lure it in, talk sweetly to it, and give it a treat and a good rubdown. If you yell it at, it’s going to scratch you and run away.

I find my negative self-talk comes in and goes out in a flash. I usually catch my negative thoughts right at the end. And then I think… Wow, Shaheen you really are doing a number on yourself now. But I turn it back around when I can. For every negative thing I say, I replace it with two positive things. It feels so good.

Try it!

  1. Are you organized?

Your home is an out picturing of your inner world. Your stuff represents your thoughts, and where you are placing your mental energy.

What are you surrounding yourself with?

How many piles of things are you leaving unattended?

What responsibilities are falling by the wayside?

Clutter, and stuff are distractions. They are pockets of unintentional energy. We want to be on purpose, we want to align with an intention. Look at your piles of stuff and rather than be brought down by them, view them as found currency. Work through it, release it and free it up for a better energetic investment.

Everything you own has a piece of your energy in it. Chew on that for a bit. Then spit it out.

  1. Do you honor the imperfect?

Perfect is never really perfected, plain and simple. Wabi-sabi is the Japanese view of honoring the imperfect. When things are imperfect they have character. They feel personal and filled with life.

Bless the imperfect. Find beauty in the things that just seem to be a little off. Look at the bark of a tree. It is not perfect. It has knots, bumps and discolorations. But it feels on purpose. It is intentional. It is guided by the deeper pulse of the Universe. Imperfect is art in action.

What are you trying to make perfect?

How is perfection holding you back?

Usually ideas of perfection are really fear in disguise. The fear to move forward. The fear to fail. The fear to be right. The fear to actually do something!

  1. Are you forming your own opinions?

Opinions are swirling through the air like dust particles. Opinions aren’t necessarily bad, they’re is just an overabundance of them. Really we use opinions as a way to make things relative so that we can comprehend them. You can have your own opinion.

Our heads are filled with the voices of so many other people. what’s even more insane is how we try to listen to all of those other voices, ignoring our own. Your voice, your idea, your place in world is valid.

Ask yourself:

What do I really think?

What do I really feel?

How does this go against the grain of the other thinkers in my life?

Why am I listening to them, and not myself?

When you free your spirit from the opinions of others you begin to float. Life is more vibrant. You may find yourself more colorful, and a bit eccentric. Gosh, the way we would live if we didn’t think anyone was watching.

  1. Do you love what you are doing?

Are you in a job, relationship, situation, or pattern of thinking that makes you unhappy?

Why are you doing it?

Maybe look at the other power thoughts above to answer that question.

Relationships and jobs are the two biggest pain points in people’s lives. We tend to bleed out our power into things that make us feel completely unhappy. But you are meant to be happy. That is your R I G H T. That is the law of the Universe.

Remember, if it isn’t a yes, then it is a no! Say no when you really mean no. Don’t say yes out of fear, or guilt, or responsibility. You do not have to justify yourself.

Just ask yourself: Does this feed my spirit? If not, move along!

How to Spiritually Cleanse Another Person

I want to talk about psychic and spiritual cleansing for another individual. This is a subject that has come up a lot in recent emails, and comments so I think it is important to address it here.

When working for other people in a psychic/spiritual sense there are many layers to the process because you are working with energy, more specifically, the energy surrounding the individual. In order to have a truly solid working the person should be open, and receptive to the cleansing process. If they aren’t open to the process, then they most likely aren’t ready to release whatever is around them.

This does not mean that a cleansing can’t be performed. On some level their higher self may be receptive to this wave of good energy, and willing to let it in. But when people are in psychic trauma they usually oppose whatever has their best interest in mind. So if you are performing a cleansing on someone who isn’t aware of this, you must send it out with the intention that they will receive the good energy if they would like!

With all rituals you are trying to create an energetic and conscious shift through the use of symbolic language and concentrated energy… this can be done in many ways, some simple, and some elaborate. But the process of spiritually cleansing another person can be very simple. All you will need are a few tools of intention.

To begin we will work with a few candles, as they are powerful forms of concentrated and focused energy used by many religions and paths throughout history, and the world! Read more about candle’s here!

You will choose a candle that represents the person being cleansed. This candle is often called an, Astral candle, it represent the person on an energetic level. Often times this candle will be in the color associated to their astrological sign. You can find this information below.

You will need a black, or white candle. This candle will be the magnet that attracts and holds whatever negative energy and attachments are connected to the person being cleansed. This is essential a psychic vacuum, much like an egg is used in spiritual cleansing. Read about Limpia with an Egg here.

You will also need a blue, or pink candle. This candle will be filled with an intention of love, positive energy, health and Universal blessing. Whenever you are performing a spiritual cleansing you want to fill the spaces that are cleared away with good energy! Move something in time and space, and something else must take its place. 

Gather together your 3 candles, along with sea salt, spring water, sweetly scented incense, and a lighter. You can also have a piece of paper with the persons name written on it, or a photograph of them. This is an energetic connection to them to help focus your intention.

Find a space where you will not be disturbed. Place all of your tools of intention on a table, tray or in one area of the ground. Make sure you have proper candleholders, a pitcher of water nearby for accidents, and that nothing will be in the way of the candles as they burn. You may want to place them on a plate so you can easily move them to burn after the cleansing.

When you are ready to begin find a seated position on the floor. Close your eyes and begin to breathe deeply. Let your breath become rhythmic… in and out. Feeling your belly expand, rise, and then fall. Lulling you deeper into a meditative state.

Allow your mind to unwind. Your thoughts to disentangle. Relax your feet, your legs, your hips, and your core. Relax your chest, your shoulders, neck and arms. Let your head fall down between your shoulder blades. Let it hang for a few moments just feeling a good stretch. Keep breathing. Keeping your rhythm.

Now begin to visualize yourself being surrounded by a beautiful bubble of white light. See it glow brightly, growing around you and forming a beautiful protective barrier. This is the white light of the Universe surrounding you in protection.

Around this white light visualize a beautiful blue light. This blue light glows brightly with a gentle hue that evokes a feeling of love, and healing. This is the healing light of the Universe adding to your intention.

Now you can begin your intention for cleansing.

Mix the sea salt, and spring water together. This is a powerful cleansing agent. Sprinkle the salt water around yourself, and around the space. Sprinkle it over the candles, and the other tools you have gathered.

Now light the incense. Let the smoke waft around the space, and around your body. Let it lift the energy in the air, and create an atmosphere of power, and sacred healing. Take your 3 candles and waft them through the smoke of the incense to release any stray energy held within.

Hold in your hands the first candle, the astral candle. Wash it gently with salt water, allowing it to cleanse and bless the candle. Now with the candle held in your palms begin to concentrate and visualize the person begin cleansed. Think of them as they are now. Their personality, their physical characteristics, their voice, their movement. Their mental and emotional state. Intend that this candle represent whomever you are cleansing.

Place the candleholder overtop of the photo/paper with their name on it. Now light the candle in the holder and say:

I affirm that this light is (name the person).

Now hold in your hands the second candle, either black or white. Wash it with salt water. With the candle in your palms begin to focus on the person being cleansed. Focus on their condition. See all the pain, the struggle, the sorrow, the attachments and limiting energies going into the candle. Intend that the candle is a magnet that attracts and absorbs the heavy energy surrounding whomever you are cleansing.

Light this candle from the astral candle. As the flame of the astral candle lights the flame of the banishing candle, see it as transference of negative energy. From the person you are cleansing, to the candle! Now place it in the holder and say:

As this candle burns down, so does the negative energy surrounding (name the person).

Take the last candle in your hand, blue or pink. Wash it with salt water. Hold it in your palms and visualize it glowing with a beautiful light filled with love, blessing, and healing and positive energy. See this candle as a beacon of blessing, shinning into the life of the person being cleansed. 

Light this candle in the flame of the astral candle. See this as a new life for the person. As the flame burns brightly, say:

I intend that as this flame burns bright it fills the life of (name the person) with love, happiness, healing, positive energy and blessing. This is the light of the Universe smiling upon him or her.

Take some time to allow the candles to burn, and just breathe into your intention. Continue to visualize the power behind the candles. See the person being released of all negative energy, and being blessed. Visualize them being surrounded by the white light of protection, and the blue light of healing.

Now say a prayer, silently or out loud:

This cleansing session is for the highest good of (name the person). This intention is his or hers to freely accept.

Allow the candles to completely burn down. If, for some reason, you have to extinguish them before they can burn down, do it with a snuffer! Place the remaining stubs in a paper bag, sprinkle sea salt over it, and dispose of them in the trash.

This spiritual and psychic cleansing ceremony can be used for another person, or you can use it for yourself. The choice is yours. Just change the wording accordingly. Make sure you feel confident about performing a cleansing like this. Listen to your intuition, and evaluate your own energy levels!

List of Astral Candle Colors:

This is a general source of colors. Trust your intuition with this as well. If the person has a favorite color, use that. If you don’t know their zodiac sign, or you cannot obtain that color candle use white.

Aries: Vibrant Red

Taurus: Yellow

Gemini: Light Blue

Cancer: Emerald

Leo: Orange

Virgo: Navy

Libra: Pastel Blue

Scorpio: Brown or Deep Red

Sagittarius: Gold or Dark Yellow

Capricorn: Garnet

Aquarius: Turquoise

Pisces: Pink

Realign

We are moving into the second month of the New Year, and we are being pushed through doorways and into new territory to explore! This is a powerful time to make a new path for yourself, and link into something that strengthens your intentions for the 2015!

As you move into the unknown create a strong intention for yourself, to affirm your goals, and center your energy. Don’t give your power away to fears and limiting ideas. Use chaos as a creative force, rather than an enemy. Let go of the need to be in control of things, dance in the dark. Trust your intuition, and know that the Universe will respond.

There is something enlightening about letting go of the need for control of our external lives. Rather, focus on the intention of your words, thoughts, ideas, and beliefs. Let your thoughts and actions speak for you. Though it is true you cannot change your physical circumstance; you can change your reaction to the thing around you. You are the creator of your reality.

Our thoughts, dreams and wishes are the way we tell the Universe what we want. Never forget that whatever you give your focus to is a request sent to the Universe… do you want to ask for negative, or positive things? Be aware of this.

Take 10 minutes a day to become conscious of the energy you are building and directing. Hold in your spiritual center a positive feeling, idea or goal; be clear with your intention. You will be amazed at how many beautiful things will grow and bloom in your life if you do this daily!

Aligning Your Thoughts

ShaheenTNOStarAre you feeling stifled? Unable to move forward with goals, plans, and dreams? Take some time for stillness! 

When you put your focus on things that you cannot control, you begin to deplete your energy. This creates a cycle of pulling toward you, and manifesting exactly what you DON’T want! Your thoughts are a powerful magnet, pulling into your life whatever you choose to focus on!

Take note throughout your day of the quality of your thoughts. Track where your mind goes. What are you focusing on? What are you giving your energy to? What mental dialogue are you having with yourself? Write down your thoughts, evaluate them, and ask yourself if they are in alignment with the things you wish to manifest! 

How often do you have an opposing thought toward exactly what you are WANTING in your life? 

Begin with this list and start to become more mindful of the things that you tell yourself and put your mental energy into. Train yourself to think more positive and affirming thoughts. Whenever you have a negative thought, catch it, imagine a big red line crossing it out, and replace it with a positive thought.
